Where Are The Damn Wolves?
I've had some emails asking and thought I'd better clarify- Draw of The Bane was always meant to be a 'pre-quel' to a split YA/ADULT series which begins with two books of the same name - RISE OF THE RED WOLF.
Hear me out.
The Blueblood Legacies series- RISE OF THE RED WOLF starts off where Draw of The Bane left off, with Mila on the hunt for her sister while battling the forces hunting her. It's an adult book for an adult audience.
The Blueblood Progeny series- RISE OF THE RED WOLF introduces Eva, a fiesty red-haired girl who doesn't belong and doesn't want to; whose future, and therefore story, becomes intwined with Mila's. It's a YA book appropriate for a younger audience.
You're not meant to read both. That would be cheating. Besides, when the two are together the books are, for the most part, identical. And though they diverge and you learn a few secrets only by putting pieces from both stories together, the point is to have a friend read the other version and see what you figure out, together, over coffee.
I wrote it because I wanted a book with a little more heat that I could also share with my pre-teen daughter.
Cloud Chasers sort of jumped in while I was half way through that two-book project and now that it's about done, I'll be back at it soon!
